Good morning,

We'd like to provide everyone with an update regarding an accident that happened this morning. A senior was driving his 10th grade sister to the high school. At the corner of Highway 3 and SW 3rd Street (the entrance of the HS/MS), the student turned in front of a semi. Luckily a different student had just used the crosswalk, so both drivers were not going fast. The student, his sister, and the semi driver are all ok. Thank you to Mr. Vorba for being first on the site, and to Police Chief Leu for his quick response.

🔹 Tuesday, Mar. 3: Parent-Teacher Conferences, 3:00–7:00 PM & 1-Hour Early Out — Dismissal at 2:19 PM

🔹 Friday, Mar. 6: Teacher Comp Day — NO SCHOOL (PreK–12)

Foods 2 students learned how to fabricate a chicken this week. They used the wings and thighs in a lab today where they were tasked with creating a sauce for their wings. They created garlic parmesan wings, hot honey wings, and honey lemon garlic wings.

Due to the potential for inclement weather, tonight’s IHSAA Class 2A District 2 Boys Basketball postseason game at Southeast Valley High School (Gowrie) has been moved up to a 5:00 PM start time.

A lot of delicious smells coming from the FCS room this past week! Students in Baking class applied their creativity and baking skills to the test by making focaccia after learning about leavening agents.
Foods 2 students have been studying meats and were able to test out some different recipes and techniques with groups making steak, pork chops and cooking chicken breasts.
