United as one box with message

Our top priority is ensuring PAC students are prepared for every opportunity available after high school—whether that means pursuing a four-year degree, earning a two-year certification, entering the workforce, or serving in the military. Through months of facility assessments, strategic planning, and valuable feedback from our community, we have developed a comprehensive plan to address our long-term district needs. This proposed bond allows us to modernize learning environments across multiple facilities, featuring updated elementary classrooms, dedicated support spaces, and major enhancements to our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs—including modern industrial technology spaces, agriculture programs, and a new culinary arts lab equipped with commercial-grade facilities. Additionally, the proposal brings new preschool and transitional kindergarten classrooms together with a dedicated entrance and multipurpose space at the elementary school. Bringing these early learning services into one convenient location supports working families, creates options for before- and after-school childcare, and sets our youngest learners up for long-term success.

Investing in our schools directly strengthens our district and local workforce. By enhancing CTE and agriculture pathways—programs that directly align with the industries driving northwest Iowa, such as crop production, animal science, and ag technology—we give our students hands-on, real-world skills that local employers depend on. Furthermore, expanding high-quality early childhood education and modernizing our campuses helps us attract and retain young families, sustain property values, and ensure our district remains a place where families want to live, work, and raise the next generation.

We are committed to being responsible stewards of your tax dollars. To minimize the burden on property owners, the district is committing $8.5 million in SAVE (statewide sales tax) revenue and local funds toward the project, covering nearly one-third of the total cost. The resulting proposed tax impact is $1.83 per $1,000 of taxable property. By addressing these needs together in one comprehensive project today, we avoid rising construction costs and prevent passing larger financial burdens down to future generations. This bond represents far more than an investment in buildings; it is an investment in our students, our families, and the future of our district and our communities.

Sincerely,
